I am very pleased to witness the new board members of the Greater Bay Area Youth Development Association officially taking office. I am honored to accompany the growth of the Greater Bay Area Youth Development Association. The establishment of the Greater Bay Area is to help Hong Kong youth get more help in the development of the Greater Bay Area, and many activities have been held for this purpose, including youth exchange groups, business inspection groups, etc. At the same time, during the epidemic period, many members have invested a lot of manpower and energy to distribute supplies to help people in need in the society.

The Greater Bay Area is developing at a rapid pace and achieving great results. In addition to daily community construction, many cities in the Greater Bay Area are currently focusing on the development of innovation and technology, and implementing a number of youth policies to attract more young talents from Hong Kong to develop in the Greater Bay Area cities, and even start businesses. Promoting the development of the Greater Bay Area is an important national strategy planned, deployed and promoted by President Xi Jinping himself. It also reflects the success of the "one country, two systems" policy. The Greater Bay Area is now full of opportunities and provides abundant resources for young people to develop their strengths and pursue and realize their dreams.

I wish that the Greater Bay Area Youth Development Promotion Association will prosper and continue to assist the country in cultivating more young talents; that the second board of directors will also be able to develop its strengths, absorb more young people, and organize more activities, leading Hong Kong youth to the Greater Bay Area cities for exchanges and inspections, and witness the great development of the country in person. At the same time, more life education activities will be held to teach young people how to effectively plan their future and encourage them to practice their dreams step by step, explore themselves and discover their talents.

I believe that Hong Kong youth should seize the opportunities of the times, actively integrate into the overall national development, and contribute to the prosperity and stability of Hong Kong. Here, I have three expectations:

First, seize the major opportunities of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The development of the Greater Bay Area is a national strategy personally planned, deployed and promoted by President Xi Jinping. It is the best entry point for Hong Kong to integrate into the overall national development. Hong Kong youth should actively participate in the construction of the Greater Bay Area, realize their own value on a broader stage, and promote in-depth integration of youth in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the fields of cultural exchanges, scientific and technological innovation, entrepreneurship and employment, and volunteer services.

Second, seize major opportunities for scientific and technological innovation. Technological innovation is the key to Hong Kong's future development. Hong Kong youth should give full play to their own advantages, actively engage in scientific and technological innovation, and contribute to Hong Kong's construction of an international scientific and technological innovation center.

Third, seize major opportunities for cultural exchange. Hong Kong is a place where Chinese and Western cultures blend and has unique advantages in cultural exchanges. Hong Kong youth should actively promote cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, tell good stories about China and Hong Kong, and contribute to enhancing the world's understanding of China.

Looking to the future, I hope that the new term of members will continue to organize more diversified youth activities, lead more Hong Kong youth to have a deeper understanding of the Greater Bay Area, and seize the development opportunities of the "four industries". I sincerely hope that the Greater Bay Area Youth Development Promotion Association will prosper, cultivate more pillars for the country, and create a better future!
